ABOUT THE SHOW

Speak On It originally began on the campus of the California State University of Long Beach (CSULB) months prior to the 2004 presidential election. The purpose of the show at the time was to fill a void in the political and social television arena by providing the students at CSULB with an opportunity to voice their opinions on specific political and social issues leading up to the 2004 elections.

Following this successful televised talk show and open forum, host and executive producer, Joshua Fredenburg decided to continue pursuing this much needed vision by producing more of these open forums on various campuses throughout Southern California. For instance, in 2005, Speak On It revisited the CSULB and held another life changing event on the Leadership In America. In 2006, Speak On It visited the University of Redlands to discuss Interracial Relationships In America and later that same year they visited USC to do a live discussion on Hip Hop and Politics. After four successful forums at various campuses throughout Southern California, Speak On It visited the CSUSB this past year to do an open forum on the 2008 Presidential Elections. This powerful event was covered by various media outlets in the Inland Empire and MTV’s very own Choose or Lose journalists from the state of California.

Over the next few years, Speak On It not only plans to produce and air these powerful discussions throughout the country and world, but it plans to provide more opportunities for emerging leaders of Generations X and Y to voice their opinions on various political, social, and relevant issues of our day that affect the emerging Generation in America!
